next strike on fumakilla, this time new shots produced by french artist paul ritch, well known for his stunning releases on labels like get physical, resopal, kickboxer and paradigma, just to name a few….paul definitly knows how to create deep and smooth atmospheres, without sob stuff….he has resources against boredom!!!! fluffy basslines and soundscapes, a wicked little synth chord and a reserved drumwork starts the main track called > back to time<. after a short and constructive break the principal theme restarts, with a striking sound selection and harmonious arrangements. call it mini-trance, call it tech-house, or even detroit-tech, call it whatever, it doesn t make any differences, the main thing is, the boys and girls all over the world will boogie with a smile on their faces, and deservedly so….trip down memory lane!!!!on the flip another tune called >vaticans bell<, and also another straight forward goin up groove monster with pretty great arrangements and awesome placed strings. paul ritch plays the first violin, he knows how to produce a timeless masterpiece, reduced but heavily effective monster tracks at the end, come, look and see… 10 points to berlin again!!

lovely slice of deep vocal heaven here starting with an afro brazilian flavored guitar intro and gentle beat with a subtle kick that slides into some extra warm synths and the baduesque vocal by zansika that sets the tone, polish all the way. incredible break about two thirds the way through that gets quiet and takes a moment for just the beat, echoing vocal and dizzying synths that should mesmerise the floor. b side dub strips the track down to its essence exposing all its elements to let us see what makes it work so well

beat to def ep is the debut on tirk for nyc based dj / producers drilla and doug gomez, aka drrtyhaze. their previous release was the >voodoo ep< on acclaimed german label gomma (headman, whomadewho, tomboy etc). the sound of the ep combines influences from drrtyhazes hometown of new york - from disco to liquid liquid-esque punk-funk to bobby o style hi-nrg. a welcome debut for drrtyhaze on tirk, the new label from the people behind classic 90s imprint nuphonic - appealing to disco purists as much as trendy art-school kids.

been impressed by his remix on wall of sound... i loved it. i also heard he won some remix competition. like a grammy, only not a grammy. the tracks he sent were amazing... but his hair, while being orange (no bonus) was not corn-rowed. while i argued vigorously that i had worked too long and hard building up turbo to see it go all >ginger<... von party defended the duke, saying it might show how open-minded we are. when i re-listened to the tracks i decided that it was well worth the risk. so.... what you now hold in your hand is the debut on turbo of duke dumont: the mysterious bad ass from the wrong-side of the tube, the hardboiled london underground pioneer who once had to eat a sampler to survive, the future of dance music, and the past of the future of dance music

adam beyers mad eye imprint has been the quietest of his 3 in terms of its output over the last few years but it has by no means made he least impact. the 5 releases so far have had massive dj support from across the techno scene with the last release being played by a huge cross section of djs. this time adam has really turned on the style with these 2 tracks with the a side china girl being a funky killer with its grooving bassline and drum groove immediately bringing you in before the addictive wooden block melody and warped edits creating an addictive intensity that put simply - just works. hear it on a system and see the dancefloor react and youll see where were coming from

part 2 with more darkish acidic / minmal techno madness

after some remixes for some labels, jaumëtic returns to his label with a shining and renewed sound, that will also see the light in new works for other european labels in the next months. dulces paparruchas is what we could call >hit< in all rule. intense, changing and forceful to equal parts, and with a impressive progression able to burn all the dancefloors. terribles albricias maintain an excelent groove from the principle to the final. a noticeable flavor of summer and a surprising mutation to perviete and transfers the track at another hotter level.

a truly unique sounding record, which is winning favor with timo mass, ricardo villalobos & richie hawtin already. also included is >one machine< by the us s thomas gibbins (aka twf). his track is quirky as hell but with a more tough kick drum. also featured is the perverted tech house track >air raid< by nicholas wills. finally we have the machine like warbles of viggossons >wowowo<. this is denmarks most requested ep at the moment & its easy to see why!!

now everybody on the block can hear you. (they should be able to see your glow from several miles away however) (green glow-in-the-dark)

dustin zahn fires away projectile number two - and you will not see this one coming with impact. zahn selects the work of a promising newcomer not to be mistaken with the drum and bass producer! this man is pure techno in body and soul and hooks you up with a real treat. four weapons for any time during the night, all with a carefully selected groove and balancing between the dark and the light

exciting news from the re-activated hairy claw label that has been lying dormant for a while. as you know, bears shouldnt be taken for granted when sleeping and this one has awaken to devastating effect. laj & quakerman have been dormant (remember what we said about sleeping bears?!) since 2002 and many fans of their tracks on fiasco and the idjut boys u-star will be very excited to hear of thismonster on hairy claw. two tracks entitled >vinyl frontier< and >lust in space< are sure to get plays from the widest spectrum of djs while keeping their old fanbase intact. live drum rhythms, bleeps, moody synths and latino marracas…i can see this freakin out alot of bunnies! its a space party for future bears on a mission to jack. raj gupta (for it is he) has released under several guises for labels as respected as nuphonic, session, noid, r&s, strutt, mr bongo…the list goes on… we will tell you more nearer release date but for now… grrrr!!!!! roooaaarrgghhh!!

jerome sydenham and rune rk first met about 5 years ago, when jerome first played club rust in copenhagen. rune was the club resident, and the two immediately connected over the decks. even though their styles were very different, there was a mutual respect and understanding for the music. in november 2006 jerome and rune decided to go to the studio and see if these magnetic poles could be joined - and from nowhere magic happened. a new mutant of sounds and arrangements emerged. not really house, not really techno, but dirty and soulful at the same time. energetic, yet calm, these tracks are something new. they dont sound like rune rk, and they dont sound like jerome sydenham. so what do they sound like? have a listen
